Already a few month ago, I visited the Helmut Newton exhibition in the Grand Palais.Amazing Fashion Photography worth not only to just take a look on it but definitely to buy a print or poster and decorate your apartment with it. Check out the website of the Helmut Newton Foundation for more information and dates of upcoming expositions in Paris, Berlin or New York: www.helmutnewton.com

Cafe Marly Louvre
Sunday, June 17, 2012 // 1:26 pm

http://nimga.de/f/CWNEs.jpg

For my 22nd birthday some weeks ago, my friend Lina (who plays a small feature in this Post today!) and me decided to use the amazing weather and have a drink (Kir Royal, the favourite!) and some macarons at the Café Marly, located directly unter the colonnades of the left wing of the Palais du Louvre with a gorgeous view on the Grande Pyramide! Despite its location this venue is not that touristic, what I really love here is just enjoying the sun while watching all the people on the place in front of the Louvre.

I decided to wear a very classical style, mixing the colours black and nude. I love this black suede leather skirt I found in a Vintage Shop when I was living in Stockholm last year. To have an interesting contrast, I combined it with the nude, see-through shirt from H&M and a tassle belt. Those fine beige/golden pumps I got as a present after the shooting of a movie two years ago. And again I set aside wearing any jewellery at all because as I already mentioned some times before I am really much more a fan of clear shapes and colours which go with yourself and your bodyshape. The best accessory anyways is self-confidence and a smile (Playing the know-it-all life coach? Check.).

outfit: white satin/ black leather

Although I am really not a fan of the Musée du Louvre, sometimes it happens that one has to be a good friend and play the tourist guide around Paris. One of my best friends visited me last weekend in Paris and after successfully talking her out of the idea that we have to climb up the Eiffel tower ("Noooooo!") I of course could not reject her wish to visit the Louvre.

To survive this visit (to those who have not been there yet: the problem is of course not the museum itself but much more the incredible amount of visitors which makes it impossible to enjoy any second of your visit ...) we went not to the Denon wing where you can see Da Vinci's "La Joconde" but instead took a look at the Richelieu wing which allows a visit a lot more relaxed.

For my outfit I wore my new satin bow shirt from ZARA, to have a contrast to my otherwise rather strong pieces like my favourite leather jacket (anyone might have slightly noticed it is one of my favourite pieces ... ?), the coated pants and suede booties.

on location: jumelles shooting
Thursday, May 24, 2012 // 6:12 pm

Last week's shooting at the Parc des Buttes Chaumont in Paris! I loved the location and the styling, although it was super cold the whole day it was a lot of fun. We were just so lucky that it did not start to rain! The styling was inspired by the theme of twins and contrast, light material and black and white colors exclusively combined with very natural makeup and red lips.
Thanks again to the whole team, the official photos will be posted the next days.

Défilé à Paris II
Wednesday, May 23, 2012 // 2:32 pm

As promised, a bit more of last weeks fashionshow in Paris! For me personally, backstage photos are the most interesting part, although at a job like this the main part is really just waiting. Waiting for the stylists, waiting for the delivery of missing accessoiries, waiting for the make-up artists, waiting for the five minutes which you actually are on the catwalk.
Not good if you are an impatient person such as I am haha!

Défilé à Paris pt.1
Wednesday, May 09, 2012 // 7:00 pm

Last weekend I had a job for a small catwalk/défilé of a newly launched parisian brand at  a Club in Paris. A long night but it was definitely worth it, a lot of fun! I am waiting for the official photos to post them, meanwhile some of my own shots (another post with more backstage pictures is coming up soon!) from behind the scenes.
The jewellery of the show was provided by CRAVED AND SOUR Jewellery - amazing designs and their website is definitely worth a look!

Last sunday and also on monday I had two new shootings with an amazing team and photographer, I cannot wait to see the finished photos. A sneak peek and backstage photos are also planned to be posted in the next days. Next to work my days are mostly filled up with french courses and a lot of application/university work! I cannot wait for the weekend and hopefully some sunrays!!

Louis Vuitton - Marc Jacobs at Les Arts Décoratifs
Monday, April 30, 2012 // 3:53 pm

Picture © 2012 by Les Arts Décoratifs.

Last Wednesday I decided to visit the exhibition Louis Vuitton - Marc Jacobs with a friend of mine, taking place at the moment in the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. For those who are interested, it is still there until the 16th of September and definitely worth it!

The exhibition displays not only the recent Haute Couture from the catwalk, models from all the decades of fashion and the famous LV trunks with which the whole story began. It takes also into consideration the process of development of both Louis Vuitton himself and Artistic Director of LV Marc Jacobs in a kind of paralell comparison.
The change of periods changes how the collections appear, it is both interesting to get to know more about the two men behind the story of the brand LV as it is simply amazing to walk through the rooms and get dragged into this change of styles and development of fashion and art.
The whole room concept and idea behind the presentation of the products was just realized geniously, in my opinion. Even if I myself am not the biggest fan of the fashion Louis Vuitton promotes mostly, it was still inspiring to have a look at all of this. A big compliment to the people who designed this exhibition - a succesful mixture of modern minimalism, great light installations and application of color and shapes.
